In today’s Daily Trudge, we’re going back to the roots — The Four Absolutes:
Honesty, Purity, Unselfishness, and Love.
Long before the Twelve Steps were written, these were the spiritual yardsticks used by the Oxford Group — and they still measure how well we’re living our recovery today.
These aren’t rules — they’re reminders.
Am I being honest, or just careful with the truth?
Am I choosing purity, or bending my values to fit comfort?
Am I thinking of others, or myself?
Am I acting in love, or in fear?
We’ll never live the Absolutes perfectly — but every day we can move closer.
